The Exeter Inn is an historic 15th Century Inn and Restaurant set amongst emerald green hills in the upper reaches of the delightful Exe Valley, in the beautiful Devon/Somerset border area.
Here you will find that resident proprietor Trevor Smith and family, together with their staff offer you the unique ambience of an authentic English Country Inn with a different warmer atmosphere than ordinary hotels.
We have a number of comfortable bedrooms where the weary traveller can rest and enjoy a longer visit with us, waking up to a tasty breakfast to set you up for

The Exeter area with the nearby Exmoor National Park has much to offer you
as a visitor. Anything from beautiful walks in the National Park to picturesque
villages by the sea. If you want urban culture why not visit Exeter itself with
its impressive cathedral and ancient architecture.
The location is ideal for touring both Devon coasts, Exmoor and Dartmoor, with easy access to M5 and A30.
The nearby historic town of Bampton dates back to 700AD. It is a short walk
away and contains many historic and beautiful buildings. Bampton takes its floral
displays very seriously and and has won the national Britain in Bloom competition
no less than six times.
